3803 LOCUST WALK FEASIBILITY STUDY
University of Pennsylvania
Philadelphia

The University asked us to consider new uses and a possible addition for this diminutive but historically significant Gothic Revival cottage designed by noted architect Samuel Sloan in the 1850s. Most recently used as a fraternity, the house has endured many alterations and the loss of original features. The study focused on space planning, code compliance, site circulation, accessibility, and exterior restoration. The preliminary design concepts include a rear addition to house offices, classrooms and core functions.
